Carrie is committed to philanthropy and giving back to the communities where RBC operates. Josh Critchley is Head of European Investment Banking at RBC Capital Markets. He is a member of the RBC Capital Markets Operating Committee and the European Operating Committee, and sits on RBC’s European Executive Committee. Mr. Critchley joined RBC Capital Markets in September 2009 to help lead the build-out of our European investment banking and equities platforms inside Capital Markets.
Mr. Critchley has 24 years of investment banking experience, most recently at Goldman Sachs from 2004 to 2009 and before that at Merrill Lynch from 1993 to 2004. He has been chargeable for the origination and execution of a significant number of transactions in a wide range of industries, including for financial, shopper, telecommunication, healthcare and industrial companies. Mr. Critchley holds a BSc from City University Business School, London. Trevor Gardner is Co-Head of Canadian Investment Banking and is a member of the Capital Markets Operating Committee. He has been with RBC since 1998 and was previously Co-Head of Canadian Energy Investment Banking. Trevor is concerned in a number of neighborhood initiatives, together with Chair of the Board of Directors for YMCA Calgary and serving as a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council for the Lazaridis School of Business and Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University. Trevor graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University with Honours, and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. He acquired a B.A from the University of Michigan. Matthew and his wife reside in New York City with their two kids. Jim Wolfe is the Co-Head of US Investment Banking. He joined RBC in June 2008 after spending 15 years at Bear Stearns the place he served as Senior Managing Director in the Leveraged Finance Group. Jim obtained a B.S. Accounting from the University of Southern California and MBA from Wharton. Matthew Stopnik is a Managing Director and Co-Head of U.S. Investment Banking. He joined RBC Capital Markets in January 2015 as the Co-Head of Financial Sponsors.
